Dear Laurent, Sage uses Maxima for such computations - see http://maxima.sourceforge.net/docs/manual/en/maxima_18.html#Item_003a-limit As far as I know, Maxima does not implement such limits.
It looks like Maple does and Mathematica doesn't, from a brief online check - not surprising, I think. However, I think you'd agree that multivariable limits are *much* harder to discuss existence of in general. Despite various warning messages about Mercurial repositories, I was able to create http://trac.sagemath.org/sage_trac/ticket/9849 for this issue. - kcrisman On Aug 31, 4:01 pm, Laurent <moky.m...@gmail.com> wrote: > Hello > > I want to use Sage in order to check some of my computations in > preparing a first year course of math. > > It seems that the method f.limit does not compute limits for two > variables functions. > > How can I do ? > > thanks > Have a good night > Laurent -- To post to this group, send email to sage-support@googlegroups.com To unsubscribe from this group, send email to sage-support+unsubscr...@googlegroups.com For more options, visit this group at http://groups.google.com/group/sage-support URL: http://www.sagemath.org
