Just install the OS X binary (e.g., http://boxen.math.washington.edu/home/wstein/binaries/sage-4.3-osx10.6-intel-64bit-i386-Darwin.dmg) Regarding frequent updates -- if that bothers you, then don't update. > Should I use the virtual machine to encapsulate the environment?
