I'm pretty sure this is a bug, but just in case: sage: diff(sec(x)) D[0](sec)(x) sage: plot(diff(sec(x)), 0, pi/4) ...traceback omitted... AttributeError: 'sage.symbolic.expression.Expression' object has no attribute '_set_extra_kwds' sage: f = diff(sec(x)) sage: f(x=0) D[0](sec)(0)
The same thing happens for cot(x) and csc(x). Using 1/cos(x) works just fine, which baffles me.
