Before installing FriCAS, make sure you first install Clisp:

sudo apt-get install clisp

After that, install the optional FriCAS package with

sudo sage -i fricas-1.0.3.p0

At present, the latest FriCAS version in the optional spkg repository
is fricas-1.0.3.p0. For a list of all available optional spkg's,
browse the page

http://www.sagemath.org/packages/optional/

or do

sudo sage -optional
