Thanks for the reply. Did I mention I'm using 3.4.2? When I try
using mon // x instead of mon / x, I get an exception:

I just tried it on alpha.sagenb.org (running 4.0.rc0) and got a very
similar exception.
Any other suggestions? Thanks!
