Crap. I ran into all these problems half a year ago (and solved most of them), but my attempt to document at least some of the findings did not take the right direction. In the end Michael (Abshoff) got so distracted from more important work, that I decided to let the topic go for a while (see the history of trac #4857).
William, now that the Sage docs are all ReSTified, do you have something in mind what would best be done here down the road?
