I built 3.4 from source on two different but similar machines on our department network (both 64-bit Opterons running Fedora 10, but slightly different clock speeds). Those builds run fine in general.
However, running a notebook server results in extremely poor performance; it consistently takes ten or more seconds to add 2+2 in the notebook. Downgrading to 3.2.3 seems to fix this.
