I'm using 3.4.rc0, built from the source. I find three copies of user_conf.py: ./devel/sage-main/sage/server/notebook/user_conf.py ./devel/sage-main/build/lib.linux-x86_64-2.5/sage/server/notebook/ user_conf.py ./devel/sage-main/build/sage/server/notebook/user_conf.py which all have a 3 minute interval specifies. I edited all of them to be 3600 seconds. But I'm still getting saves about every 30 seconds after restarting Sage.
