In a 3.3alpha6 version of sagenb and on a system of Fedora 10 with
mathml-fonts-1.0-22.fc10.noarch installed, the content whereof is as
follows,

$ rpm -ql mathml-fonts
/usr/libexec/mathml-fonts
/usr/libexec/mathml-fonts/find_symbol_font.sh
/usr/share/doc/mathml-fonts-1.0
/usr/share/doc/mathml-fonts-1.0/Licence.txt
/usr/share/doc/mathml-fonts-1.0/Readme.txt
/usr/share/doc/mathml-fonts-1.0/mtextralic.htm
/usr/share/fonts/mathml
/usr/share/fonts/mathml/SY______.PFB
/usr/share/fonts/mathml/Symbol.pfa
/usr/share/fonts/mathml/cmbx10.ttf
/usr/share/fonts/mathml/cmex10.ttf
/usr/share/fonts/mathml/cmmi10.ttf
/usr/share/fonts/mathml/cmr10.ttf
/usr/share/fonts/mathml/cmsy10.ttf
/usr/share/fonts/mathml/eufm10.ttf
/usr/share/fonts/mathml/fonts.cache-1
/usr/share/fonts/mathml/msam10.ttf
/usr/share/fonts/mathml/msbm10.ttf
/usr/share/fonts/mathml/mtextra.ttf
/usr/share/fonts/mathml/wasy10.ttf

sage notebook fails to render latex invoked with show() and with error
code -7 without having fonts available at <http://www.math.union.edu/
locate/jsMath/download/jsMath-fonts.html> (TeX-fonts-??.zip works yet
TeX-fonts.zip and unix-TeX-fonts.tar.gz won't work under ~/.fonts)
installed at ~/.fonts . I am aware that the package I am using is
mathml yet confused about the text concerning mathml at <http://
www.math.union.edu/~dpvc/jsMath/download/fonts.html>, as it seems to
hint that mathml might not work with this. I have not tried to install
those fonts (those available at www.math.union.edu) at the system-wide
level so the xlsfonts does not return any of the font associated.
However putting those rpm packaged fonts inside ~/.fonts does not help
either.

It would be really nice if anybody could provide some insights why the
rpm packaged mathml-fonts fails to work with jsMath on sage notebook.
Thanks in advance.
