I'm on sidux (Debian sid actually, installed it just yesterday) and have installed the latest SAGE 3.2.3.
When I enter notebook() I'm aksed for the password and then get The notebook files are stored in: /home/fgeiger/.sage//sage_notebook ************************************************** * * * Open your web browser to http://localhost:8000 * * * ************************************************** 2009-01-11 17:54:04+0100 [-] Log opened. 2009-01-11 17:54:04+0100 [-] twistd 8.1.0 (/usr/local/sage/local/bin/python 2.5.2) starting up 2009-01-11 17:54:04+0100 [-] reactor class: <class 'twisted.internet.selectreactor.SelectReactor'> 2009-01-11 17:54:04+0100 [-] twisted.web2.channel.http.HTTPFactory starting on 8000 2009-01-11 17:54:04+0100 [-] Starting factory <twisted.web2.channel.http.HTTPFactory instance at 0x924030c> 2009-01-11 17:54:05+0100 [HTTPChannel,0,127.0.0.1] 2009-01-11 17:54:05+0100 [HTTPChannel,1,127.0.0.1] /usr/local/sage/local/lib/python2.5/site-packages/twisted/internet/defer.py:267: exceptions.DeprecationWarning: Don't pass strings (like 'Bad token') to failure.Failure (replacing with a DefaultException). 2009-01-11 17:54:05+0100 [HTTPChannel,1,127.0.0.1] Exception rendering: 2009-01-11 17:54:05+0100 [HTTPChannel,1,127.0.0.1] Unhandled Error Traceback (most recent call last): Failure: twisted.python.failure.DefaultException: Bad token and the browser shows me Internal Server Error An error occurred rendering the requested page. More information is available in the server log. The URL is http://localhost:8000/?startup_token=3a14... I've seen this issue in the archives but it seems having been considered a glitch (see e.g. http://osdir.com/ml/mathematics.sage.support/2008-01/msg00386.html, http://www.mail-archive.com/sage-de...@googlegroups.com/msg14216.html, and http://trac.sagemath.org/sage_trac/ticket/2935: "Since nobody else can replicate this, and it could just be some weird cookie corruption on Jaap's computer (or a weird firefox bug), I'm closing this as invalid.") Every start by notebook() shows this behavior from now on. I can overcome this by going to iceweasel and delete everything from the URL except http://localhost:8000 I then have to reenter the password and things are fine again. So, not that bad and I could live with it, but it doesn't look good, especially when I show my software tools to Windows/MATLAB guys ;-) Any idea how to proceed? Kind regards Loretta P.S.: No notebook is running at 8000. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ To post to this group, send email to sage-support@googlegroups.com To unsubscribe from this group, send email to sage-support-unsubscr...@googlegroups.com For more options, visit this group at http://groups.google.com/group/sage-support URLs: http://www.sagemath.org -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~---
