Yes, we do run a huge regression test on many systems during build
testing (and I also do it after each merge), so it is unlikely that
you hit a regression. When we deprecate something it does print a
warning message for at least six months before being removed.

That being said there is the possibility that some of your code worked
due to a bug or a corner case that has since been fixed or we broke
something because our test coverage is not yet 100%, but if you notice
any regression please report them so we can fix them. Usually each bug
or regression reported results in a test cases so that the bug will
never happen again :)

You can take your .sage directory and copy it over to the VMWare image
for example and try the new version independently of your current
install. That way you can test before upgrading.
