There may not be any solution except to install the Intrepid version, which I think does work -- the problem, I think, is that the plugin doesn't support "LiveConnect". Looking at LP207064 [1], you might want to try loading this applet: http://developer.apple.com/internet/safari/samples/ColorBlockApplet.html if LiveConnect is the problem, I'm guessing that won't work. The bug report has some suggestions for new versions to try installing.
