See http://www.sagemath.org/doc/inst/node10.html for "running the Sage notebook securely". I followed those instructions, and some parts are now obsolete or suboptimal for Ubuntu. Although I was too lazy to note the relevant changes and put them on the wiki, or email Bobby to update that page.
