I am planing to make two Sage servers:

1) one, open to all the French mathematical community
(at least for people who want to try Sage, without installing it)

2) one in my University for teaching, open to students and Professors.

In both cases, the server will be run on a Debian or Ubuntu machine.

I would like to replace the existing mechanism where every body can
create a Sage account by the consultation of a ldap or ldap like system:
if the user is known in the ldap, and if he anthenticates himself
correctly, them Sage creates the account (at the first login).

We have a ldap for all the french mathematiciens.
In my University, there is an Active Directory :-( for the students.

Did somebody developed this? Is someone interested by such development?

Yours
t.d.
