This error might be caused by the wrong setting (?) in matplotlibrc in the directory, $SAGE/local/lib/python2.5/site-packages/matplotlib/ mpl-data, ... # the default backend; one of GTK GTKAgg GTKCairo FltkAgg QtAgg TkAgg # Agg Cairo GD GDK Paint PS PDF SVG Template backend : Agg ... I add wx (module) and change it to: backend : WX
