The user *might* (who knows?) be using the command-line vmware image,
which doesn't have copy and paste between Windows and Linux.
If the user were to use the notebook then they would have
copy and paste. Or if they were to use putty or some other
ssh client to the virtual machine as explained in the readme
then cut and paste would work.
