Tried this out on 10.5.2/Intel, and it is broken for Safari 3.1 there as well. Unlike the case for 10.4, though, using "^I" in place of TAB appears to work. I have filed a bug with Apple, but perhaps it wouldn't hurt for others to do so as well. It requires an ADC account (Apple Developer Connection). It's free, and you can sign up online at <http://developer.apple.com> Then go to <http://bugreporter.apple.com>, sign in, and fill in the form.
