I got the same results.  I noticed (since I keep Activity Monitor's  
CPU meter around all the time) that while looking at the Black Blot,  
one of the CPUs was red-lined :-}  After about 2 minutes, I got a  
cute lorenz attractor plot.  At least, I think that's what it is.  I  
wouldn't know one if it hit me in the head...

YMMV (this is on a 3GHz Dual Quad Xeon).
