Yes, that's possible.  You will have to login to the sage-vmware machine,
by typing
   login: manage

Once logged in, type

   $ sudo su
   passwd: sage

then edit the file

   /usr/local/bin/notebook

using vi or pico (you can apt-get another editor if you want).
Somewhere in /usr/local/bin/notebook it says port=80.  You can
change that to port=whatever_you_want.
