I have acquired a new Mac Mini (Intel) to install on my research network. After downloading the latest operating system (Darwin client) upgrades, I then downloaded the latest version of the developement suite (xcode-2.4.1).
I then downloaded sage-2.1.0.1 and tried to build sage. The build failed while trying to build python-2.5.p3.spkg with: gcc -bundle -undefined dynamic_lookup build/temp.macosx-10.3-i386-2.5/private/va r/automount/home/kate/sage/sage-2.1.0.1-x86-Darwin-gcc-apple-try2/spkg/build/pyt hon-2.5.p3/Modules/readline.o -L/usr/lib/termcap -L/home/kate/sage/sage-2.1.0.1- x86-Darwin-gcc-apple-try2/local/lib -lreadline -lncurses -o build/lib.macosx-10. 3-i386-2.5/readline.so -Wl,-search_paths_first /usr/bin/ld: warning -L: directory name (/usr/lib/termcap) does not exist /usr/bin/ld: warning multiple definitions of symbol _PC /home/kate/sage/sage-2.1.0.1-x86-Darwin-gcc-apple-try2/local/lib/libreadline.dyl ib(terminal.so) definition of _PC /usr/lib/gcc/i686-apple-darwin8/4.0.1/../../../libncurses.dylib(lib_tputs.o) def inition of _PC /usr/bin/ld: warning multiple definitions of symbol _UP /home/kate/sage/sage-2.1.0.1-x86-Darwin-gcc-apple-try2/local/lib/libreadline.dyl ib(terminal.so) definition of _UP /usr/lib/gcc/i686-apple-darwin8/4.0.1/../../../libncurses.dylib(lib_termcap.o) d efinition of _UP /usr/bin/ld: warning multiple definitions of symbol _BC /home/kate/sage/sage-2.1.0.1-x86-Darwin-gcc-apple-try2/local/lib/libreadline.dyl ib(terminal.so) definition of _BC /usr/lib/gcc/i686-apple-darwin8/4.0.1/../../../libncurses.dylib(lib_termcap.o) d efinition of _BC and then it just stops - no error message, nothing. Anyone have any ideas?
