Dear SageMath, My name is Parv Singhal, and I am an undergraduate junior at the University of Wisconsin Madison, majoring in Computer Science and Data Science. Alongside my studies, I am also a Machine Learning researcher specializing in Reinforcement Learning. I am writing this email to express my interest in working with and contributing to the SageMath project through the Google Summer of Code program!
I have long admired SageMath’s commitment to providing a comprehensive, open-source mathematics software system that integrates the best features from various libraries while innovating with its own powerful algorithms. As someone who is deeply passionate about both machine learning and mathematics, I would absolutely LOVE to contribute to SageMath’s mission. I believe that my background in Python, combined with my experience in machine learning and data science, aligns extremely well with the innovative spirit of SageMath.
