Hi Sir/Madam,
I hope you’re doing well. I am Nidha Ahmed, a junior undergraduate student studying Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. I’m also going to join Google as an SWE Intern next summer. I’ve always been a huge admirer of SageMath and its mission to create a comprehensive open-source mathematics software system. It’s inspiring how your work supports advanced mathematics and empowers researchers worldwide. I’m very eager to contribute to this impact. I have experience with Python, C++, and JavaScript, and I am excited to learn and work with Cython and C as well. If you could share some beginner-friendly tasks or tips on how to get started with your codebase, it would be a huge help. A little about me: I’ve worked on projects like a movie recommendation system, a text summarization web app, and a geospatial analysis tool for public health. I’ve also contributed to open-source initiatives like designing real-time heatmaps for SoundScape. I’m looking to grow my skill set and make meaningful contributions, which is why I’m so drawn to SageMath. It would be helpful for me to get guidance on how to start contributing. I’m genuinely excited about the chance to learn from your community and support your mission. Looking forward to hearing from you! Best regards, Nidha Ahmed Mohammad. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "sage-gsoc" group.
