Hello Sage team!

I am interested in working on "Adding PDF documentation compiled in XeTeX"
as my GSOC project. I am currently in my 3rd year pursuing a BS in EECS.

I have experience with both the LaTeX engines, ie. pdflatex and XeLaTeX and
have solved many errors I faced in the past however they might not be of
the same magnitude as this one where we have to build a whole project
documentation.

I've fulfilled all the prerequisites:

   - Forked the GitHub repository, built and installed sage locally
including the docs and gone through the Developer documentation (not in
   full detail).
   - I've been using sagemath for around two years wherever I've needed it
and have been in the mailing lists for around a year.
   - I recently contributed small changes to the documentation README - Update
   the logo at README.md #35155
   <https://github.com/sagemath/sage/pull/35155>.

I've intermediate knowledge both in LaTeX and python and have also used
bash scripts for various uses. I've done something similar for converting
my code assignments from MATLAB to LaTeX report using shell scripts as
intermediates. I've no previous experience however of using Sphinx but will
be happy to follow along if someone could guide me.

For the project statement, I see that currently the Mentor is TBD so I
assume that someone interested will take it up. The starting point is
compiling "A Tour of Sage" using XeTeX. Any help with this is appreciated.
I also need help regarding some good points to include in my proposal and
how to frame it overall as my knowledge on this topic is limited.

Thanks a lot and looking forward for working towards this project.
