Lang Moore and I are the authors of Calculus: Modeling and Application, 2nd Ed., published by the Mathematical Association of America (MAA). At the Joint Mathematics Meetings in Baltimore, we will be demonstrating the "tablet version" of the text (designed for iPad, but usable on many platforms and browsers). The demonstration will be in Room 349 of the Baltimore Convention Center, starting at 3:30 EST, on Friday, January 17, 2014. There will be time for attendees to explore the text online on their own tablets and laptops.
For an advance look at the text, please visit http://calculuscourse.maa.org/ -- at the bottom of the page there is an open link to Sample Chapters, which are Chapters 2, 5, and 8 of the non-tablet version. The text is similar, but the interactions require one of Maple, Mathematica, or Mathcad -- those are the parts replaced by Sage interacts in the tablet version. Anyone (in particular, students) can purchase one-year access to the text (both versions) for $35. Adopting instructors can get a code for free access. I'll be happy to answer questions. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "sage-edu" group.
