Dear Rob, I am interested in attending Sage Edu Days 5. I would travel from Arcata CA. Airfare at this time would be quite high - there are no direct flights - so I might drive. This could be more than your funds allow. I think your site suggests some funds could cover travel and lodging, so let me know what might be possible. I am working on a project for visualizing functions using mapping diagrams (aka dynagraphs) for a teaching resource on the subject for beginning algebra through calculus. There are some of these already existent on SAGE and elesewhere but they do not cover the whole range of possible uses. I would like to work on developing more with SAGE and possibly work with others on how to make these visualizations easy to create for others by making it part of a SAGE toolbox/workspace.
Since time is short for this application, here is link to my home page at Humboldt State University: http://users.humboldt.edu/flashman and a workshop I gave on mapping diagrams that contains links that I used to show related technology efforts connected to mapping diagrams. At the time I did not include SAGE efforts. http://users.humboldt.edu/flashman/UtahMaterials.html I will be looking for your response to see how to proceed further if support seems possible. I can also be contacted by cell phone at 707-832-9973 Sincerely, Martin Flashman Professor of Mathematics Humboldt State University Arcata, CA 95521 707-826-4950 On Tuesday, March 26, 2013 2:50:16 PM UTC-7, Rob Beezer wrote: > > A Sage Days devoted to the Sage Notebook development will be held at the > University of Washington, June 17-21.
