<tangential anecdote about CMJ>

The first (short) paper I ever published was in College Math Journal
(it was something called "Inductive Fallacy" that came out of a funny
homework problem in a graduate algebra course that we took at Northern
Arizona University from Adrian Riskin). I remember that we didn't
seem to have the actual journal, so I never got to see a copy then (at
least I couldn't find it). When I went to grad school at Berkeley,
the first thing I did was rush to their amazing library to finally see
my name in print... and was shocked when I found the appropriate issue
of the College Math Journal and the page with my publication was
ripped out and missing.
