Yup, that is definitely the reason. Unfortunately we do not have a lot of 32-bit systems to build on, so the only 32-bit Ubuntu-based binary we have at the moment is for Ubuntu 12.04... Oddly, on the other hand, we don't have any 64-bit Ubuntu-based binary for as recent an Ubuntu version as 12.04, for some reason.
