I have been using Sage in teaching for some while now and I have huge issues with VirtualBox.
Generally the problem is that the students cannot access the Ip- address in question from their firefox browser. Sometimes this never works and sometimes this works for first few sessions and then fails to work after that. I in fact have a similiar problem. I can thus access the notebook only VIA the virtual machine which wouldn't be so bad, but i haven't yet figured out ways to move files from the virtual machine to windows (is that possible without the commercial addition?)
