I mostly use Moodle, but just few ideas:

- whole worksheet could be graded,
- or grade could be accumulated accross cells (code areas)..
  there would be need to lock the worksheet after grading... or make snapshot..
- maybe doctests could be used...

ps.: by the way, I am not familliar with NB code , but  maybe it would
be good idea to start using some web framework, for it -- recently I
am amazed by web2py -- it really simplifies site setup
