I'm trying to do image processing in Sage, and so far I have been able
to do something like this:

import sympy.thirdparty
pyglet = sympy.thirdparty.import_thirdparty('pyglet')
from pyglet import image
fimg = open('<path omitted>.jpg','rb')
img = image.load('hint.jpg',fimg)
w,h = img.width, img.height;
w,h

I don't want to display the images in Sage, just be able to manipulate
them (add noise, etc.)

Is there another way, like importing pil directly?
