I ran across this web site the other day:

http://numericalmethods.eng.usf.edu/index.html

which has a lot of information on teaching
numerical methods and it discusses a number of
packages (Maple, Matlab, MathCAD, Mathematica).

It may be that the author isn't familiar with
Sage and Scipy, but it might be nice if the
same resources were available in Sage form.

It's all pretty well done and the author has
funding for the work.
