The current antispam setting is the following: - iptables rules blocking huge sets of IPs coming from stopforumspam.com - people who post for the first time should be approved by some admin, then they are free to post as registered users. Actually, the first method is sufficient to mitigate most spam. Regarding the second method, there are enough admins so that a post does not wait a long time before being moderated. As for Erik, since he could post comments already, he is registered, so none of those antispam features apply. The fact that the text is synced when Erik re-answers a question looks like the post was never completely posted. It looks like some fuzzyness that appears when the javasctipts are not up-to-date (it appears when we upgrade askbot and forget to update the static javascript files), so, perhaps some old script is locked in some cache of the webbrowser, i do not know.
