SageMath (www.sagemath.org) is an open source general purpose mathematics
software package, developed by and for the mathematics community.
At the occasion of the CRM thematic semester ``Algebra and words in
combinatorics`` from March to July 2017,

a five day intensive SageMath training event will be held at Laboratoire de
combinatoire et d'informatique mathématique (LaCIM) of Université du Québec
à Montréal:

It will include a combination of computational mathematics talks,
demonstrations of SageMath and related software functionality, hands-on
tutorials, and a lot of free time for coding sprints.
The main themes will match that of the semester; however anyone interested
in SageMath is welcome to join.

Who should attend

You! A specific goal of the workshop is to provide a venue for researchers,
teachers, students, and general public alike to learn more about the
software and get help achieving their personal computational projects. This
will make it accessible to users at all levels, *even those without any
prior experience with SageMath*. Since the event will be held in late
April, it is an excellent opportunity for undergraduate students embarking
on summer research projects and graduate students looking to incorporate
scientific computation into their research projects.

chercheurs et enseignants de tous niveaux, *même sans expérience avec
Sage*. Comme il sera tenu en avril, il sera une occasion en or pour les
étudiants de premier cycle qui se lanceront dans des projets de recherche
d'été et pour les étudiants des cycles supérieurs qui cherchent à
incorporer du calcul dans leurs projets de recherche.
