no, you cannot. You need to build Sage using it.

rationale: you need to reliably match a pattern in binary files, to replace 
it with another pattern. binary-pkg builds in a location with an insanely 
long and complicated path, which it 
stores somewhere in the distribution, ready to be replaced.
