Another thing that I hope we can eventually start supporting is some basic category theory, which I feel would justify having a number of categories at the top level. Nicolas and I have also discussed having things like Groups().free(foo) as hooks to create free objects (or any other special objects wrt the category). The extra level of indirection makes this slightly harder I feel.
