I realized that this question is a bit unclear as it links to a URL with a
lot of stuff on it, but all I
had in mind was the part with heading The Abstract Element Class Hierarchy.
This is just a list
of all the pre-existing element classes which was very handy for figuring
out what's there already and
what would best suit the new element object I want. I wonder whether there
is a URL with a similar
list of the pre-existing parent classes.

Sorry for being unclear previously.
