The only difference between optional and experimental is that optional
packages are held to the same quality standards as a standard package:
it is required to work on all supported platforms, pass doctests, be
properly documented, have a reasonably sane build system, ...
If this is the case, there doesn't even need to be a vote: just make it
optional.
