Hi,

The version 0.9 of SageManifolds has just been released at
http://sagemanifolds.obspm.fr/

As mentioned in this previous post
<https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/sage-devel/JFKYUIpuaoE>, this
release is based on the reorganization
of the code for its submission to Sage, through #18528
<http://trac.sagemath.org/ticket/18528>. Actually the
version 0.9 corresponds to the latest commit (98810df
<http://git.sagemath.org/sage.git/commit/?id=98810dff8d2f493d701b0fb20e1fb6e7e1794365>)

on the branch
of ticket #19209 <http://trac.sagemath.org/ticket/19209>.

With respect to version 0.8, the main changes are
- the disentanglement of the topology part from the differential one
- the possibility to have a base field different from the real numbers
- the possibility to have calculus different from symbolic calculus
- a better parallelization (multiprocessing), relying on #18100
<http://trac.sagemath.org/ticket/18100> (merged
  in Sage 6.10.beta4)
- manifolds are now based on the Manifolds category introduced
in #18175 <http://trac.sagemath.org/ticket/18175> (merged in Sage
6.10.beta1)
More details in the changelog <http://sagemanifolds.obspm.fr/changelog.html>.

The reorganization of the base code is still underway, as one can see
at #18529 <http://trac.sagemath.org/ticket/18529>, but it seemed necessary
to release this version for the benefit
of users.

Any comment is of course welcome.

Best wishes,

Eric (on behalf of the SageManifolds team).
