No, not at the same time, sorry.  But there were no packages actually 
listed - I know the format below all too well ;-) and then after another 
make it said it was done, when in fact it wasn't.

Yes, try to test whether the fake $HOME works.  I'm not too worried at this 
point since I solved my problem, but even if it diagnoses something minor 
that would be nice.
