Re: possibly needing to install Xcode: I installed it. restarted machine. ran 'make distclean' then ran 'make'. Same problem. two files (float.h and stdarg.h) that cannot be found, though they exist.
'xcode-select --version' and 'gcc --version' return the same output as I mentioned before.
