Hi OK, I think since I did the install =6.6ppa1 succesfully myself, the PPA has deleted superseded versions.
Instead do wget https://launchpad.net/~aims/+archive/ubuntu/sagemath/+build/7362961/+files/sagemath-upstream-binary_6.6ppa1_amd64.deb <https://launchpad.net/%7Eaims/+archive/ubuntu/sagemath/+build/7362961/+files/sagemath-upstream-binary_6.6ppa1_amd64.deb> sudo dpkg -i https://launchpad.net/~aims/+archive/ubuntu/sagemath/+build/7362961/+files/sagemath-upstream-binary_6.6ppa1_amd64.deb <https://launchpad.net/%7Eaims/+archive/ubuntu/sagemath/+build/7362961/+files/sagemath-upstream-binary_6.6ppa1_amd64.deb> sudo apt-mark hold sagemath-upstream-binary There is a dpkg alternative to hold if this apt-mark hold fails.
