The version in Sage (1.1 with some upstream patches) also builds for me
with GF2X_CONFIGURE="--disable-hardware-specific-code" (still with
'-O2', the default, and the compiler generating native code), low-level
and Toom tuning works*, its test suite passes, and also ptestlong passes.
