Do you have any other libgomp.so installations lying around? This seems
like R was once linked against OpenMP 4, but your system OpenMP is of a
different version.
You can try
SAGE_INSTALL_GCC=yes make
to install our gcc...
/home/nborie/sage-6.3/local/var/tmp/sage/build/r-3.1.1.p0/src/bin/exec/R:
