You better believe people have been squashing them right and left.  Seems 
pointless to me, as they gave useful info in a useful form (sorry, git/hg 
log are NOT always very useful until you dig deeper and/or scroll through 
several pages of minor incremental changes) but I don't have the bandwidth 
these days to argue the case.
