My suggestion at this stage is to use the iOS app (which I assume you are) and come up with ideas for improvements. I think it looks really good on your GSOC application if you've already submitted a pull request or otherwise had a patch accepted (even a fairly trivial one) since that shows that shows that you've been in communication and such. I know there is lots of room for improvement on the iPad version.
