I guess that's a bit over-enthusiastic of David. We are still
at putting all the building blocks in place.
I guess the next phases are:
1) getting the current atlas to spit out a .pc file
2) getting R, iml, fflas-ffpack/linbox to use it
3) getting cvxopt,sage (easy) numpy/scipy (harder) to use it.
4) checking over optional/experimental
5) cut the ties to ATLAS so you can use whatever

sage-on-gentoo is actually at (5), with (4) not done and
some rewriting going on so that everything will be in line
with upstream sage.
