Dear Sage Developers, We have been working hard behind the scenes for a while to drag the Sage source version control into the 21-st century. The current plan is to have the first Sage-on-git release before the end of the year (and its almost Thanksgiving).
* You can find the new Sage Developer's Guide at http://sagemath.github.io/git-developer-guide/ * I am volunteering for the role of the release manager. * Ideally we can finish the "functorial constructions" ticket before Sage-5.13 and then make that the last traditional release. * The "official" merges will be made with a special "Release Manager" user name and contain the ticket number and (parts of) the ticket description in the commit message. * Feel free to send me a completed SPKG.txt for spkgs mentioned in the https://groups.google.com/d/msg/sage-devel/onWFAVz-LDA/LT7p14DviygJ thread. * There are some Sage-on-git components that need review at http://trac.sagemath.org/ticket/13015 * What is up with chickpeas, neither chicks nor peas.
