Resources per VM: 1 CPU should be enough, RAM should be at least 2GB(*), disk space should be 10GB on average with larger peaks possible, but that can be on NFS.
(*) I don't know whether 2GB of RAM (without swap) is actually sufficient, but it might be a good experiment to try that.
