I got an email today from a student who posted to sage-gsoc and didn't
get any responses. Looking around that list [1], right now it is almost
entirely tumbleweeds (student introductions) blowing about in the wind.
We need to respond to those students.
If you think you might mentor a project, look over that list and respond
to a student!
I have been looking at the mails of students interested in debian+sage,
since I volunteered to (co)mentor and currently I have seen :
- Felix Salfelder, who intervened in the sage-devel thread "GSoC
project: make the Sage build system more distribution friendly" ;
- Alex Spitzer and Amit Jamadagni, whom I pointed to the above thread
but still haven't commented.
Did I miss someone?
Snark on #sagemath and #debian-science
