There has been a lot of work done (mainly by Robert Bradshaw, David Roe, and me) to completely replace the Sage doctesting framework. I feel that this is now ready for review. Technically speaking, I started as reviewer but I have a "reviewer patch" 180KB in size. So you can imagine, this is quite some patchbomb. Since there are 3 authors on this ticket, I hope we can review everything amongst ourselves.
But we can still use testers. There are some doctests of the doctesting framework, but really we need people to actually use it and see what it gives.
